Please don’t be surprised that I choose to write to you tonight, for you are the only one I met in the world behind the screen.
I want to write to you everyday. But can’t find time sometimes… But I will try, just as I keep my little diary.

Dearest Amy,
Today I discovered a fortune of 8760—you have, I have, everyone has.
We all have—around 8,760 hours every year.
What can you do in one hour? To finish today’s newspaper? To watch 2 episodes of SATC? To practice half an hour of yoga and afterwards enjoy a cup of warm lemon tea?
Reading helps you keep up with the pace with the world outside. Watching soup opera makes you feel relaxed. Working out keeps you healthy. What we gain after time passes depends on how we invest our time.
So, since every year, we can have 8,760 hours, what can we achieve with 8,760 hours? 8,760 is not a small fortune. What is a clever investment?
I had made a rough calculation as below:
7*365=2555 hrs for sleeping, (we’ve got 6205 hrs awake!)
3*365=739 hrs for eating, washing clothes, brushing teeth, washing face or hands etc.,
9*22days*12 mths =2376 hrs for working (maybe more),
Maybe…4 times*3 days*24=288 hrs for getting sick and lying on the bed, feeling frail in working,
0.5*365=182.5 hrs for doing exercises (I hope that I can form such a habit and be healthier),
Wow~~seems that half of our year is fixed and we actually don’t get much time as we thought we have.
My list of spiritual investment (the time I spend for my ego~):
2*50 =100 hrs for watching football matches, the duty of a football fan, haha~
1*365= 365 hrs for listening to music (must be more), –can I turn into a music critic? At last I am but a Queen of Karaoke~~~
2*40 =80 hrs for seeing movies,–can I turn into a movie critic?
1.5*300=450 hrs for browsing news online, reading newspapers, surfing on internet (more…)
The list goes on…
And there are times can’t be calculated:
Being alone and lost in thoughts: ?
Being accompanied: ?
Being in a crowd: …
Taking photo for a flower: ?
Shopping: when there’s a discount notice posted on the entrance…
And one thing is for sure:
8,760 hrs, missing someone by heart.
Wow… How can we make a clever investment? I’m confused.
But I’m sure that, if we can be consistent in doing something, we will gain a big fortune.
